LuLu's Desperate House Dogs (formerly the Bow Wow Blog)

LuLu's Desperate House Dogs is a blog about an eccentric little Beagle named LuLu, who, along with her sister Sadie (a Whippet/Terrier/Beagle blend), writes the lurid Puppies in Lust series, and absorbs local color in an idyllic, off-the-leash, canine-centered village known as Lincoln Park~

CAVALIER COCKTAIL

1 oz gold tequila

half oz Galliano herbal liqueur

2 oz mandarin juice

1 oz whipping cream

shake and strain into a cocktail glass

For a genuine Cavalier Cocktail you need a cavalier. Anybody out there into reenactments? With dogs?

11:39 AM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Reenactments? Are you somebody who

How to make a Lulu cocktail,

you take half an ounce of vodka and combine with the same amount of triple sec, white rum, amaretto almond liqueur, peach schnapps, an ounce of sweet and sour mix and a dash of pineapple juice. Combine in a shaker with ice and shake. Strain into a champagne glass and add a dash of grenadine. You have a Lulu!!!

Lu,

what is the correct way to hold a leash?

12:33 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Anon,

In answer to your question, a lot depends on the type of leash you're holding. And then there's the matter of the dog at the other end. I like it when my guardian drops the leash (along with her guard) and I can run circles around her~

I am a dogtrainer, and the way to hold a leash is to hold the "loop" of the leash in your right hand and use your left hand as the "guide" hand. This will bring you to the "start" position.

Thanks for the info, Jackson. I lead my guardian a merry chase when I'm on the leash. Now that I think about it, maybe that's the reason she won't buy me an AWESOME retractable one. Hmmm. What do you think of retractable leashes, by the way?

Retractable leads are no good. At least not for control purposes. It gives the dog freedom but the walker is unable to "guide" the dog.

There is. It's a combination of lite rum, triple sec, gin, and anisette. I do not recommend giving it to your dog, but if you like a nice socky drink, the Lily is for you, honey.

Yes. There is an affenpinscher cocktail. Once, I had the drink at a bar in Germany. It's made with ginger and rum. There's a doberman cocktail, too. Prosit!

Maesh,

Sounds fascinating, but I'm only allowed to lap water...and occasionally a little bit of apple juice and smooshed cottage cheese.
I believe my guardian likes to hit the sauce every so often, though, at least she's forever saying something about my driving her to drink. I can't imagine what she's complaining about. I mean, hydration's good -- right?

WELL I THOT I'D TAKE A LOOK AT YOUR BLOG AND THE DOGS ARE COMPLETELY LUSCIOUS. BUT WHAT IS DOG ETITQUETTE? IS IT LIKE DOG TRAINING? I DON'T FIND ANYTHING LIKE THAT SO WAS CURIOUS. AND SO YOU'LL KNOW, IN MY PAST LIFE I WAS CLEOPATRA.

2:23 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Dyalin,

The truth is, we're less of an etiquette blog and more of a fun blog -- but we can tell you the proper way to hold a Pooper Scooper, if you're interested.

Anyway, CLEOPATRA? Aw, c'mon -- you can do better than that. For your information, the soul of Cleopatra currently resides within a cat named Silky who lives in
Newark, New Jersey~
