LuLu's Desperate House Dogs (formerly the Bow Wow Blog)

LuLu's Desperate House Dogs is a blog about an eccentric little Beagle named LuLu, who, along with her sister Sadie (a Whippet/Terrier/Beagle blend), writes the lurid Puppies in Lust series, and absorbs local color in an idyllic, off-the-leash, canine-centered village known as Lincoln Park~

LuLu responds to Carole:

Many people buy "cute" pets, generally kittens or puppies, as fun surprises for loved ones over the holidays. In many cases, a diamond ring, some hot new computer games, or even a pony might prove a more sensible idea.

Kittens and puppies grow up to be cats and dogs, and dogs, in particular, need a constant, hands-on relationship with their guardians for at least the first full year of their lives.

Unfortunately, July is the month when so many former kittens and puppies show up in animal shelters as heartbroken former pets. So please THINK before you run out and buy a cute holiday pet for a special person in your life, when a stuffed animal would fill the bill.

For people looking for nice pets, July is a great month to comb your local shelters. But know ahead of time what you are looking for, and keep in mind -- this is a living, breathing creature you're taking home with you -- not a plaything to be discarded a few months later.

LuLu responds to Monty:

Keep looking, Monty. Who knows? Maybe we'll go on tour one of these days! Meanwhile, just enjoy our blog.

As for where on earth are we (?) --I think Carole may have dropped a hint, although we do not live in Dayton~

LuLu and her friends are off to Pennsylvania to research a new story, "The Hound of the Poconos."
They will be back soon. Meanwhile,
LuLu's cousin Phantom, from California, will be in charge.

See you soon~

I think that Molly looks like a manipulative little woman. What was she in a past life? She looks suspicious has she been questioned about the chew toy?

Molly is a blog poster and Mollie is a cute cavalier spaniel...the (ahem) younger version of my schmookims bestest friend -- and exceptional actress --
Lily.

Anyway, what the kennel are you talking about, Anon?
