LuLu's Desperate House Dogs (formerly the Bow Wow Blog)

LuLu's Desperate House Dogs is a blog about an eccentric little Beagle named LuLu, who, along with her sister Sadie (a Whippet/Terrier/Beagle blend), writes the lurid Puppies in Lust series, and absorbs local color in an idyllic, off-the-leash, canine-centered village known as Lincoln Park~

Why, thanks, Kittimar, and we assume you're not being catty. A book is likely but not for a while yet.We need to mangle a few more classic mysteries first~

Sounds like a good name for a character in one of our mysteries: Adora Fedora. Got to be something like a Vizsla, naturally~

I was going to suggest a good mystery for the next story, but I can't think of a female detective with enough beauty, brains and class for me to portray. Maybe Nora Charles but that puts you-know - who in the lead role. Lulu could be Asta, though. "The Thin Whippet" ??? I have to go now, I need some candy.

Hey! Hold your chewies right there, girl friend! You get the Myrna Loy role while I am relegated to the role of family pet? I DON'T THINK SO, SWEET PEA.
Then again, you are our local beauty, so maybe I'll be generous.
You got Lady Amanda, and Spencer's currently doing Sam Spade (with me in the supporting role as his preggers bitch bop). We all had major roles in the first story, so I was sort of hoping to land the lead in THE HOUND OF THE POCONOS, which is supposed to fill the bill next. (I am a hound, after all.)

Hmmm. Maybe we ought to let one of the ingenues, like Katie or Gracie,
take a stab at stardom. Then again, nah. You and I need to get together for a good dig, a Cobb salad, and a chat~

Lulu, my sweetest, darlingest, best friend! I wouldn't DREAM of interfering in your career plans. Of course you must have the lead in the Hound of the Poconos -- I didn't even know the script was in circulation. The part would be all wrong for me. All that racing across the moors and baying would give me mats in my long white fur and a sore throat, whereas you have short hair and love nothing better than a good romp and some late-night howling. ( I'd better not get too graphic, or I might be indiscreet re your, shall we say, extracaricular activities). I will wait for a more suitable role for moiself. Yes, we must get together soon and dish , and dig, some dirt. Meanwhile, I'M READY FOR MY CLOSE-UP !

Lily dearest, far be it from me to suggest that you're long enough in the tooth to play the role of Norma Desmond, a washed-up beauty queen with mats in her brain -- but if the collar fits, well, arf
arf and woof woof.

Really sweetie, let's not fight. I mean, we step on a lot of paws on our way to the top, but I'd rather not step on yours. You know that I consider you a sister -- a much older sister, but a sister just the same.

Tail wags and nibbles, from a striking beagle beauty who has just celebrated her first birthday~

Dearest LuLu, I think you have been in stir too long.It seems to have made you a mite bit cranky. My maturity is no reason to make meow remarks about my age. Ater all, I am still the prettiest and the sweetest girl on the block. You are doing a great job in the current story, so I think we should bury the bone and play nice. See you soon

Punkin,

Yes, dogs have eyebrows! I certainly do, and I'm willing to bet that my friend Lily does. My own are very narrow, 30's movie queen brows -- only I don't have to pluck 'em. Don't have to shave my legs, floss, or gnaw on breath mints, either. I roll in dead leaves and the boys go wild.

Humans are weird.

By the way, what kind of dog are you, and are you fixed?
